# Filter a dashboard

As you review your dashboard, use filters to control the data displayed on your reports. The available list of filters is specific to each dashboard and is used globally on the dashboard to filter the data available for each report.

### Show filters <a href="#showfilters" id="showfilters"></a>

### Add a filter <a href="#addafilter" id="addafilter"></a>

The available list of filters is specific to each dashboard. To add a filter, complete the following:

Click the value area below the filter name. A drop-down displays with filter options.

Depending on the type of data, you can select a value or add an operator and value. For operator and value pairs, you can combine multiple filter strings with AND statements.

### Reload dashboard <a href="#reloaddashboard" id="reloaddashboard"></a>

* Click **Reload**. The dashboard is reloaded with the updated filters applied.

### Reset filters <a href="#resetfilters" id="resetfilters"></a>

After you've set filters, you may want to reset to the default data:
