# SAP S/4HANA integration

SAP S/4HANA (on-prem) is an enterprise resource planning software for large enterprises designed to help you run your business. With the SAP S/4HANA integration, you can sync your purchase requisition and supplier data with Fairmarkit. With the purchase requisition sync, your purchase requisitions are imported into Fairmarkit, creating request for quote events; once the event is awarded, the awarded data is sent back to SAP S/4HANA to update your purchase requisition.

Important: Before using the SAP S/4HANA integration, you'll need to complete the prerequisite setup. [For more information, see Setup for SAP S/4HANA integration.](/buyers/integrations/sap-s-4hana-integration/setup-for-sap-s-4hana-integration.md)

### Overview <a href="#overview" id="overview"></a>

You can move your data between SAP S/4HANA and Fairmarkit in the following ways:

* [Purchase requisitions sync](/buyers/integrations/coupa-integration/purchase-requisition-sync.md): With the purchase requisition sync, your purchase requisitions created in SAP S/4HANA are imported into Fairmarkit, and request for quote (RFQ) events are created. When your event is awarded in Fairmarkit, the awarded data is sent back to SAP S/4HANA, and your purchase requisition is updated.
* [Supplier sync](/buyers/integrations/coupa-integration/supplier-sync.md): With the supplier sync, your suppliers created in SAP S/4HANA are imported and created in Fairmarkit.
