# How do I access an event?

## How do I access an event? <a href="#howdoiaccessanevent" id="howdoiaccessanevent"></a>

As a supplier, buyers will invite you to participate in events. You can access events in the following ways:

### Fairmarkit emails <a href="#fairmarkitemails" id="fairmarkitemails"></a>

When a buyer invites you to participate in an event, you will receive an email invitation. The email provides the time remaining to bid, a description of the goods or services required, and a link to respond. Click the link in the email to access the response page in Fairmarkit. Depending on the customer, you may not have to register to respond to a request for quote (RFQ) event. For request for proposal (RFP), request for information (RFI), and reverse auction (RA) events, you will need to [register with Fairmarkit](/suppliers/suppliers/getting-started/register-as-a-supplier.md) first.

### Fairmarkit supplier portal <a href="#fairmarkitsupplierportal" id="fairmarkitsupplierportal"></a>

By registering on the [Fairmarkit Supplier Portal](/suppliers/suppliers/getting-started/register-as-a-supplier.md), you can manage your list of events, track response outcomes, complete your supplier profile, and respond to public marketplace events. From the event list, click an event to access the response page.

### Marketplace <a href="#marketplace" id="marketplace"></a>

By registering on the [Fairmarkit Supplier Portal](/suppliers/suppliers/getting-started/register-as-a-supplier.md), you can access the [Fairmarkit Marketplace](/suppliers/suppliers/marketplace-suppliers.md), where you can respond to events from all Fairmarkit customers. You can respond without a direct invitation from the buyer. From the Marketplace list, click an event to access the response page
