How does the Amazon Business integration work?
Enabling the Amazon Business integration in Fairmarkit allows you to include Amazon Business in your request for quote events seamlessly.
Are there any requirements?
You'll need to meet the following criteria:
Fairmarkit user
Have Fairmarkit pushback integration to your purchasing application.
Amazon Business user
Have e-ordering or punchout enabled.
How do I get started?
If you want to enable the Amazon Business integration, contact your Fairmarkit Customer Success Manager. As part of this process, they will:
Enable the integration for all or selected buyers (buyer vs. company level).
Turn on the Amazon Business integration.
What can be sourced?
Amazon Business only responds to request for quote events with a goods-type line item. You won't receive a response for service or group line items.
What do I need to include on my events?
When you create your request for quote event, it must include the following:
Location
The Shipping address must be within the United States.
Note: EMEA will be available in a future release.
One line item
You can add one line item with the UOM set to Each. Provide as much detail for your line item as possible; information like Manufacturer name, Manufacturer part number, SKU, Category, etc will expedite response time and accuracy.
Additionally, the line item must meet at least one of the following criteria:
Line item value exceeds $10,000.
Line item quantity exceeds 999.
Amazon Business option
In the Marketplaces area, select the Amazon Business option. When this integration is turned on, this option is selected by default.
How does this process work?

For the event line item, Amazon Business searches their database for an eligible match, and then they provide a response to the event. The response is included with the other supplier responses to your event and can be reviewed.
If awarded, Fairmarkit pushes the order back through your CXML pathway to Amazon Business.
